Ketotifen was administered to 49 patients with allergic rhinitis and to determine its effectiveness, serum and nasal fluid concentrations of eosinophil cationic protein (ECP) were analyzed. Ketotifen was effective for nasal symptoms and also decreased the number of eosinophils and the level of ECP in sera and nasal fluids of patients with allergic rhinitis. Side effects were not reported in present study.
