We report the case of a 22-year-old man with delayed cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) rhinorrhea onset attributed to a head injury.
He developed CSF rhinorrhea and meningitis 15 years after injuring his head in a traffic accident.
Coronal computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) proved useful in determining the leakage site precisely.
We confirmed a fistula of the right cribriform plate in transnasal surgery, sealing it with fascia and fibrin glue.
The man has had no CSF rhinorrhea or meningitis recurrence in the 18 months of follow-up.
