A histopathologic study of the temporal bones in two adult cases (four ears) of Down's syndrome is reported. One patient a 38-year-old male with acute myelogenous leukemia, exhibited an obtuse angle of the facial genu, large bony dehiscence in the facial canal, extensive leukemic infiltrate into the middle ear and bone marrow, middle ear effusion, and slightly shortened cochlea. The other patient, a 45-year-old female had a remarkable obtuse angle of the facial genu, large bony dehiscence in the facial canal, and middle ear effusion.
