A case of Pickwickian syndrome in a 28-year-old male is reported.
The patient was diagnosed as having Pickwickian syndrome, which was confirmed by both clinical finding and all-night polysomnographic recordings. He had markedly hypertrophic faucial tonsillar tissue.
After tonsillectomy, his obstructive sleep apnea disappeared and the hypersomnia markedly improved, but there still were central sleep apnetic episodes in postoperative
