Abstract

A 52-year-old female was admitted to our hospital with a complaint of left submandibular mass. Ultrasound echo, CT-scanning and MRI-scanning revealed a cystic lesion. The mass was resected and diagnosed as a trichilemmal cyst pathologically.
All the reports of trichilemmal cyst have been presented b y dermatologists in Japan, and a trichilemmal cyst in the submandibular region is very rare. This is the first report of a trichilemmal cyst by an otorhinolaryngologist
