Abstract
The authors have carried out the sizing analysis and the float-sink analysis of coal samples from two Ten Feet Seams at Y and O positions in Yubari mine.The.calorific values and the ash contents are also shown for the fractions of float-sink analysis.
It is recognized that there exists no remarked difference in the characteristics between Y and O series.The fractions lighter than 1.3 of the specific gravity, the principal part of the samples, show slight difference in the characteristics between the series.For other fractions, however, O series have higher calories and lower ash content.
Some microscopic examinations are described for the fractions in.comparison with the characteristics mentioned above.
