Abstract
As it was deduced from the experimental results about the adsorption of C2H2, C2H4, and H2M on V2O3, that this oxide-catalyst might be adequate to the partial hydrogenation of C2H2, the study on this subject was undertaken.
Examining efficacies of a-Al2O3, 7-Al2O3, pumice, Kieselguhr and Cr2O3 as carrier, ft*1 and of Ni, Fe2 (504) 3, MoO, etc.as promoter, it was found that V2O3+1/100 Ni+2 sintered r-Al2O3 was the most excellent catalyst. By this catalyst C2H2 is hydrogenated more than 78% to C2H4 at 260°C, and this activity is so much duarable as C2H2 react more than 95% and the concentration of C2H4 in the reacted gas is no less than 20% after 115 hrs from the beginning.
