Abstract
It is very important for designing process control system to comprehendthe purpose of control. A new type of control system, which uses electronic insteadpneumatic, is being developed. In the frequency response test, pneumatic controllerswithout long tubing are as good as electronic controllers. But the use of electroniccontrollers improves the performance of plant especially in slower system such as temperaturecontrol. This is due to the fact that the dead zone of the controllers usingmechanical links has bad effect on the derivative unit, and that new all electronic controllerswithout dead zone have best performance in this respect . It is confirmed experimentallyby using analog computer .
