Abstract
Elementary analytical value, aromatic base unit, functional group, bonding form of base unit, and structure unit of coal arc explained in the comparison of Japanese and foreign coals. Japanese and foreign coals have some differences in their physical and chemical properties such as mechanical properties, thermal plasticity, thermal decomposition, and solvent extraction, etc.
