The problems on transportation of liquefied natural gas are reviewed, especiallycarrying on water refrigerated liquid gas under atmospheric pressure.
Seventeen years ago land facilities for storage of refrigerated liquid gas were erected for practical use. Recently experiments of storage tanks in ship for low temperature liquid gas have been completed. The first liquid methane carrier will shortly run a test voyage. The author discusses technical points of the problems and economy of the newly invented method of gas transportation.
