Abstract
In the early stage of industrial study of synthetic gas production, the slag tap pulverized coal gasification process developed in the Sumitomo Chemical Industries, Ltd.is described.
This process is characterized by that fine coal is gasified in the voltex chamber using ferrous oxide as flux in order to discharge ash in melting state at comparatively low temperatures.
