Abstract
U.S.S.R.has made much efforts in the developments of Eastern Sib eria which has vast resources of coal, petroleum and iron are by the 7-year economic plan from 1959 to 1965.Both the process of development of Eastern Siberia and recent economic policies of U.S.S.R.will promote the coal and petroleum trade between Japan and U.S.S.R.
This article includes the present status and future prospects of the coal and petro-leum imports from U.S.S.R.
