Abstract
The purpose of this study is to design a wood-fuel (wood pellet) supply system with storage processes. The system consists of logging, natural drying, raw wood transport, raw wood storage, drying, pelletizing, wood pellet transport and power generation. First, a daily throughput for woody biomass in each process is estimated from working hours of foresters and pellet plants. Estimated throughputs for woody biomass set necessary sizes of siloes for raw wood or wood pellet. Second, a wood-fuel (wood pellet) supply system with storage processes of woody biomass is designed according to locations and scales of forests, pellet plants and power stations.
