P-67 Approach to compositional analysis service for woody biomass

Abstract

WISE method and Klason method were selected as compositional analysis methods for woody biomass. The extractives, holocellulose, α-cellulose and Klason lignin contents were experimentally analyzed several times for softwood and hardwood. The holocellulose content was corrected by subtraction of the lignin included. Our results were similar to the literature values except α-cellulose. Adopting a quality control (QC) sample with good reproducibility, we are getting ready to provide highly-reliable validated compositional data.
