Abstract

We proposed an algorithm to determine the Regional Circular and Ecological Sphere (RCES) from supply and demand bases of heat created based on geographical information such as population distribution and planted forests, in order to build a decarbonized society in 2050. This study conducted a scenario analysis considering the use of heat (pellets) from forest residues for an agricultural and mountainous village area with a remarkable depopulation. The effects of supply-demand balance, CO2 emission reduction rate, and circular economy were not different among the basic regions in the Noto area. However, it was confirmed that the difference in RCES area setting affects their effects.
