Abstract

In this study, we aimed to increase the content of cedar wood flour in ABS filaments by using a single-shaft extruder developed in a previous study, and investigated the effects of the characteristics of cedar wood flour (grain size and specific surface area) on ABS filaments. It was confirmed that, for filaments with 15 and 25 wt% wood flour contents, cedar wood flour with a small grain size and small specific surface area was most suitable, while for 35 wt% content, wood flour with a small grain size and moderately large specific surface area was found to be the most suitable.
