Abstract
The direct and second economic effects on Maniwa project for production and distribution of wooden chip were estimated by using input-output table. Woody chip production of 300 million yen generated roughly 600 million yen of induced economic effect. The value of 600 million yen was equivalent to 0.2% of production in Maniwa. The economic impacts of 74 million yen in forestry sector, 329 million yen in pulp, paper and wooden product sector, and 150 million yen in transport sector were induced.
