Abstract
Glucose decomposition and char formation under hydrothermal condition with the presence of acid or alkali catalyst was investigated at 25MPa. Presence of catalyst promoted the decomposition of glucose. At subcritical temperature, H+ enhanced both of char and gas formation. At supercritical temperature, H^+ enhanced the dehydration reaction, while OH^- enhanced gasification.
