Abstract
This is a report for study of 400W ceramic metal halide lamp with built-in electronic igniter which can be operated on a mercury lamp ballast. Arc tube shaps and manufacturing conditions are investigated. As a result of the study, high efficacy, high color rendering, long life, safe and environmental protection lamps are achieved. It will be a real pleasure for us to reduce the carbon dioxide by becoming widely used of the lamps.
