Abstract
Conventionally, fishermen diagnose the influences of the diseases and the stresses by means of the visual inspection or the optical-microscope observation. However, a quantitative evaluation technique is required for more stable production in the nori cultivation. Therefore, we proposed laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) method for diagnostics of Susabi-nori (Porphyra yezoensis). In this paper, influences of the diseases and the stresses on the fluorescence spectra, the dependence of fluorescence spectra on the excitation wavelength and fluorescence distribution are described.
