On the Opportunity of Editing the Special Issue of Shikoku Branch(<Special Issue>People, Town, and Future United by Lights in Shikoku: Shikoku Branch)

Abstract

The 44th annual conference will be held in Ehime University from 15th to 17th September 2011. The venue is in Shikoku and the city Matsuyama is famous of hot spring "Dogo-Onsen" and of the birth place of Akiyama brothers who brought the win of Russo-Japanese war to Japan. In this special issue lighting in Shikoku, especially light up, is described and the background and efforts in new style of annual conference are explained.
