Abstract
Between the Naname-Kuzebashi interval of the Hanshin expressway Kyoto route, it is difficult to conduct maintenance of luminaires for road lighting because the route is road of the opposite lane structure without catwalk on flyover and thus lacks enough space for the maintenance. This difficulty suggests the need for a durable lighting system as well as for efficiency in other maintenance activities (e.g., cleaning). With support from a company we recently contracted with, we developed and initiated a durable and energy-saving lighting system with LED.
