Abstract
Authors investigated the state of the methode and installation of the electric illumination in the interior, the front and the show-window of general selling shops exsisting in the commertial street of Tokyo, with the object of confirming the present actuality of shop illumination and approved that only 30 percent of investigated shop illuminated some good situation and the rest70 percent was rather defective.
The main reason of such results was standing on the use of either bare lamps without any moderating accessaries or the shallow type of shade screwing a large gas filled lamps.
For the relief of this condition, authors thought that it would be most important to realise the improvement of this department with the method of that store selling electric apparatus, electric lighting Co. and others relating to the illuminatingengineering should be stand on ahead of the general lighting power consumer as an adviser or a consultant.
