There is shown in this paper that (1) the lighting rate schedules for different sizes of electric lamps follow a logarithmic low, and (2) the cost of electric lamps and electric power cost, (3) proper electric power cost for the different demand and supply conditions, (4) economical life of a lamp, (5) reduction of the lighting rates by improving the load factor, are discussed with examples.
