The Measurement of Window Illumination with Model Room and Photo-Electric Cell

Abstract

This paper describes the model study of interior illumination of a room which is illuminated by diffused window light. The illuminations in the model room is measured by the use of photoelectric cell and galvanometer.
The source of light is reflected from white paper which is illuminated by incandescent lamps. Then we are able to change the light source conditions. By the above method we can change the room illumination for various conditions. This paper shows the horizontal distribution of illumination in the room under various kinds of conditions. And also shows the distribution of illumination for the actual rooms which has the same room conditions as models.
