Abstract
The 25th session of the FAO Regional Conference for Asia and the Pacific was held in Yokohama from August 28 through September 1, 2000. Thirty-two member countries from the region, representatives of intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations, media correspondents attended. The broad objective of the Conference was to provide a forum for discussions among Asian and Pacific countries on recent trends in the agricultural and food sectors, food security and rural development.
