7-4-1 Pretreatment of Waste Oil From Food Factory For Mesophilic Methane Fermentation System

Abstract

It is confirmed that energy-recycling system using syrup waste has a lot of benefit at canning factory. Biogas of approximately 188m^3/day was obtained from syrup waste of 2.5ton/day, and gas engine of 25kW will supply electric power and heat to the factory in our proposed system. The cost for drainage treatment of the syrup waste will be reduced to half by the cogeneration system. In this paper, the progress of the system for fiscal 2011 is shown and the distinctive feature concerned to the economic and environmental view will be discussed.
