Abstract
In July 2012, the Government of Japan introduced the "Feed-in Tariff (FIT) Program for Renewable Energy Use". Currently, quite a few woody biomass power plants are under construction in various regions to take advantage of the FIT program. In this paper, the effect of feedstock cost on economic feasibility of biomass power generation is described. In case of scale biomass power plant, The break-even point equations for the relationship between feedstock cost and power plant scale with 500〜50,000kW have been derived.
