Abstract
Thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) was applied to two kinds of ball-milled Miscanthus, Miscanthus×giganteus (M×G) and M. sinensis Shiozuka, which was selected as a line with high-biomass producing and high-enzymatic digestibility, in this study. We obtained two results; (1) the thermal degradation temperature of M sinensis Shiozuka, which was sensitive to ball milling, was lower than that of M×G. (2) there were linear correlations between thermal degradation temperatures of ball-milled Miscanthus and their enzymatic digestibilities.
