Abstract

Electric vehicles (hereinafter referred to as EV) and Fuel cell vehicles (hereinafter referred to as FCV) can use not only transportation equipment but also leveling of renewable energy generated fluctuations by using EV batteries. In this paper, two energy systems with different storage methods of storing photovoltaic power generation (hereinafter referred to as PV) in stationary batteries or EV batteries are studied in order to adjust the load fluctuation of PV power generated by the timewise and seasonal effects. As the result, the method of storing PV power in EV batteries is able to reduce about half of CO2 emissions at home in comparison with that of storing PV power in stationary batteries. In addition, EV batteries can be used more effectively than stationary batteries because the charged PV power is consumed by the EV running.
