Abstract

This paper is concerned with designing the standard time data so as to decrease standard time data error and increase practicability. We want to estimate standard time in a short time and with higher precision. The problems when we estimate standard operations times are as follows : Precision and Practicability are though contrary, and their definitions are not clear. In this study, we first define these two items and secondly propose a plan how to partition by using crierion S. We compare the optimal partition method that minimized S with another simplified approximative partition method by using examples of actual application.
