Abstract
One of the most important problems for a scheduling system in job shop environment is the difficulty of estimating a reasonable shop time. Among several elements which affect the shop time, queue time cannot so easily be estimated as others. In this paper a method for estimating mean queue time in a network or a tandem work center is considered. It is necessary to apply this method to clarify the effect of autocorrelated interarrival time of a job on the queue time. Simulation analysis shows that the effect is not negligible according to the condition of the work center.
