Abstract
Position motion time is estimated on reflection of many factors. For simplifying estimation of motion time, a smaller the number of factors are preferred. In this paper the positioning motion is defined as the compound motion of the alignment and the insertion from the viewpoint of the motion velocity and are described the results of experiment that was carried out using the clearances between objects as the factor. An experimental equation was obtained where the alignment time is shown as a log-linear and the insertion time is a constant. Therefore the positioning motion time is possible to be estimated using clearances between objects as a variable.
