Abstract
The authors[5] have proposed a method to determine the economical replacement times of equipment with technological advances by the control limit policy and have given some case studies. Although this method is practical since the economical replacement times can be simply determined by a graph, it has a problem that the estimation methods of parameters for the cases have not been shown. Therefore, this paper clarifies some typical estimation methods for above-mentioned and other cases, and offers some important viewpoints for generally applying replacement models to practical problems.
