Abstract
A model is presented by Jaraiedi, et.al. which can be used to determine the Average Outgoing Quality (AOQ) for a product which has multiple quality characteristics and which is subjected to multiple total inspections where the inspection is subject to errors. This model, however, assumes that two types of inspection errors are constant. The purpose of the present paper is to extend this model by relaxing the assumption so as to better account for the variation in inspection errors. Besides relaxing the assumption, cost analysis of the extended model is also discussed.
