Abstract
If each sample of a process is classified into one of some categories by an inspection, for analyzing and controlling the process, p charts on pn charts are used for each category. On the other hand, Duncan proposed Chi-square chart controlling the process by using the text of goodness of fit. This control chart has many convenient characteristics, but there are some restrictions on using this chart. In this paper, we propose a more general control chart resolving these problems and a procedure on how to design it. Further, we also propose a new control chart matching with the recent development and diffusion of personal computers.
