Abstract
Both delay-time and work-cycle time distributions of a generalized model of conveyor-serviced production station (Generalized CSPS) are concretely obtained, and the policy RdSRP for Generalized CSPS is discussed from a view of the above two work-time distributions. By numerical considerations, the following results are found : First, from a comparison of distributions, the policy RdSRP is superior to the policy SdSRP. Second, it is such a look-ahead interval (or time-range) that minimizes a variance of delay-times or a tail probability of work-cycle times. In conclusion, the policy RdSRP is superior in not only mean value but also variance.
