Abstract
The potable water is so essential to the health of all onboard and the regulations are provided for potable water and its treatment in most nations.
In such condition, various units are produced and each kind of unit has its own characteristics on the dimensions, the structure, the capacity and the cost etc.
Three means are used for treatment of potable water, i.e. silver ion, ultra violet, and chlorination.
In this paper, explanations of some terms and extracts of requirement by major regulatory agencies are presented.
And in addition, variety, features and installation guide for each sterilizing unit and its associated machinery are reported.
