Abstract
In the marine boiler automation, the automatic burner control is an important and difficult problem. This paper is the outline of our developmental research to find an appropriate design of burner control system.
Considering that the burner control system is closely coupled with ACC and the boiler itself, our test system is composed of a boiler simulator (construsted with oil tanks), conventional ACC equipments and specially designed electronic change-over circuits.
These circuits are endowed with versatile functions, among them are sequential on-off of burners, the jumping over sequence, the counter measure in clash astern operation etc.
The entire system characteristics were examined by experiments to give minimum steam pressure variation and system settling time.
