The asset value of Japanese TV drama series is relatively lower than that of other countries in the global market. One of the root reasons for this is the "peculiarity of the audiovisual aspect," such as the fact that only Japanese people appear on the program. As a method to solve this issue, we can consider the adoption of the double-shooting method already used in the Latin American drama genre of telenovelas and the European macaroni-western. In this study, we produced video clips in multiple languages using the double-shooting method at the actual drama shooting site. To verify the effectiveness of this method, we conducted a questionnaire survey using the produced video clips. The results of this survey suggest that the double-shooting method is useful for Acquiring Global Viewers, but that it is important not to give a sense of discomfort to the actors' performances and the visual aspects such as the studio set, among other audiovisual peculiarities.
