Reprint collections in libraries:

Focusing on Utarō Noda and the Japan Local Literature Series Publication Society (Nihon Kyōdo Bungei Sōsho Kankōkai)

Abstract

Between 1960 and 1982, Utarō Noda published reprints of modern literary works with a limited distribution area. A total of nine reprint publications can be identified by the Japan Local Literature Series Publication Society, of which Noda was the representative. These reprint publications, in conjunction with contemporary trends (such as Noda's activities to promote literary walks and the publication of reprints of the Republication of Complete Works of Famous Books series by the Museum of Modern Japanese Literature), spread beyond the area of distribution, becoming available in various libraries and spreading to all parts of the country. In addition, the National Diet Library does not hold all of the reprint publications by the Japan Local Literature Series Publication Society, and there are some works that were not delivered to the National Diet Library.
