Consideration about the illustration the volume of Wakana of the Tale of Genji

Abstract
The Tale of Genji does not remain in the literary work in future generations, in addition has had big influence on the culture of Japan, such as fine-arts works, such as a craft and pictures. The noted scene of each volume was illustrated. The scene where, as for the volume of Wakana of the Tale of Genji, Kashiwagi saw Onna-Sannomiya was converted into a video signal. It comes to be used independently for a title-page illustration of a book in Japanese. It is considered to be one of the fundamental knowledge for the person treating a old book in Japanese that it is discriminating that the a title-page illustration based on a picture of the volume of Wakana.
