Abstract
In order to improve various properties of Japanese aluminium, the authors adopted two kinds of treatment for bath aluminium; one is repeated melting and the other is holding the bath aluminium at a constant temperature. The properties of aluminium thus produced were investigated by electrical conductivity, specific gravity, macrostructure and also by means of tension, Charpy, Erichsen and rolling test. All the properties were improved by the treatments. Among them, Charpy values, specific gravity and rolling property were improved markedly.
