This study evaluated the impact of a workshop conducted by the Japanese High Performance Sports Center on information sharing, consensus building, and the implementation of a pathway model within National Federations (NFs). Online survey was administered to workshop participants to gather their perspectives on challenges, outcomes, and subsequent changes within the NFs. Findings indicate that the workshop effectively formalized tacit knowledge, created a tailored pathway model, and mitigated the risk of initiative failure. It fostered a collaborative environment for idea exchange and knowledge creation. However, the study also highlighted the importance of providing a comprehensive overview at the beginning of the workshop to ensure shared understanding among participants. To facilitate successful workshops and subsequent implementation, the study emphasized the need for enhanced awareness of issues within NFs, improved collaboration among stakeholders, and the crucial role of coordinators in bridging communication gaps. These insights offer valuable knowledge for future implementations of pathway model development.
