Nagoya metropolitan area is now facing Tokai and Tonankai earthquake problem. Now, it is needed to quickly establish the direction to improve the current disaster mitigation situation. The two essential points are to activate the seismic retrofit of buildings and to increase the regional disaster prevention power. In order to accelerate them, the consciousness of people should be immediately enlighten on disaster prevention. In Nagoya area, the researchers decided to become a homedoctor on the earthquake disaster in this region and cooperated and collaborated with other specialists and several medias such as educator, joumalist and volunteers, and general citizens. Also, the synthetic information system for disaster mitigation and the materials for education etc are developed.
