Tourism Studies from the Viewpoint of Relationship between Environmental Elements

Abstract

This study, drawing upon discussion of the complex nature of tourism destinations, proposes a theoretical framework and methods to elicit relationships between environmental factors. This study proposes a theoretical framework and methods to research relationships between environmental factors and tourists’ motive to travel from the perspective of environmental engineering. Tourists’ motive to travel is implied to concern various factors of visual environments. The proposed frameworks and methods are suggested to be contributory for investigation of tourists’ motive to travel to destinations with different light environments and climates.
