Abstract

With the growing sharing economy, coworking spaces have emerged and spread rapidly in recent years. The shared kitchen is one of these coworking spaces, with professional kitchen facilities that are shared by individuals and food businesses. Beyond their original role as commissary kitchens, shared kitchens play the role of business incubators for new food entrepreneurs. The incubator role of the shared kitchen has recently become the focus of food-related agencies and investors, as shared kitchens are expected to impact the local community positively. Based on this phenomenon, this study focuses on the role of shared kitchens and explores how shared kitchens can support food entrepreneurs in succeeding.
