Abstract

We examined factors which may enhance the spontaneity of consumer-life-supporters based on investigations of three prefectures which offer consumer-life-supporter education courses. The obtained suggestions are that the courses require curriculum according to the supporters' actual activities, and so on. The primary aim is to strengthen ties between the supporters and the municipalities at which they work, as well as between other local organizations and the supporters. If there aren't enough fields available for them to obtain work in, their motivation will gradually subside and it will prove difficult to continue the activities. The supporters are expected to continue learning as a consumer citizen and carry out community-based activities.
