Abstract
In this review, the results of experimental studies obtained in the author's laboratory on the coalescence growth of smoke particles are summarized. The following topics are discussed. (1) Size distribution and temperature distributron in MoO_3 smoke. It is shown that the coalescence growth is one of the important mechanism in smoke. (2) Formation of Coalescence growth and experimental substantiation of the growth equation. Kinetic equations for the smoke particle coalescence were introduced. (3) Formation of double oxides or alloys by the mixing of two different smokes. Reliable evidence for the coalescence of smoke particle has been given by the analysis of formed double oxides or alloys.
