The morphology of etch pit on the surface of hen egg white lysozyme crystals was observed with atomic force microscopy. With using poly-urethane coated cover glass, crystals were fixed satisfactorily for observation in dissolving condition. The etch pits had sharp edges and the morphology was reflected the 2-fold symmetry.
